Ruth Tate - Australian Made Fashion

Ruth Tate  is a designer trained in fashion and knitted textiles, producing two collections per year, in small quantities using local makers. Doing small runs means there is minimal wastage and each design can be custom fit as we cut it all in house. We also do custom orders for the races and weddings. We offer free postage Australia wide and flat fee postage for international orders.

Joining Ruth Tate at 284 King Street, Newtown, is Sylvia Riley, a textile designer and maker who creates her own fabrics, printing and dyeing them before creating garments. Also stocked are Musee.today, Korean born Kim, manufactures most of her range locally in Sydney, cashmere knits and shawls are made in Korea, Dogstar Clothing is the creation of Japanese designer Masayo, based in Brisbane.

Ms Chief Designs, designed, digitally printed and crafted in Australia, fabric is available by the metre on upholstery weight linen or chenille. Lamps and  lampshades are also available. It is all printed to order so there is minimal wastage.

Potters Steve Sheridan and Hilary Jones with a selection of celadon, ash glaze and earthenware pottery and porcelain.

Beautifully crafted in Italy are bags from Bidinis, the creation of Italian Caterina Bidini who returns to Italy to design and make her bags while being based in Sydney and Cyprus.

We have a selection of jewellery from local artists Jane Ju, Helen Mok, Shan Shan Mok and Sidney Sprague as well as collections from Europe
