Design Collective & New Season Launch

Design Collective and New Season Launch

It’s always fabulous to begin the launch of a new season collection with a Champagne Celebration, and on Friday 26th and Saturday 27th May, Ruth Tate did just that! Accompanying the new Winter ’17 collection at the May Design Collective in Enmore were artisanal designers Embellish Atelier, Barebones Studio, Kimono Yamamoto, Page Shoes and Scout the Label. All hand-made, timeless designs produced by incredibly talented designers, sharing their wares with friends and guests.

Glorious hats were on display by milliner Catherine Kelly of Embellish Atelier. Her work consists of bespoke headpieces incorporating traditional millinery techniques, along with silk-flowers, leatherwork and beading. High-craft designs tailored to an individual aesthetic.

Barebones Studio creates screen-printed silk scarves, with the addition of hand-painted artwork, to come up with truly one-of-a-kind pieces and luxury designs. Born from a desire to create comfortable wardrobe staples, Barebones Studio also offers a small selection of women’s wear. Stunning handbags were on display by Kimono Yamamoto - made from the fabric of Japanese Kimono’s, each bag and accessory has it’s own unique look and feel, due to the careful and considered placement of fabric across each piece.

Also available was handmade leather footwear by Page Shoes. Shoemaker Carole has over 37 years experience in her craft, and designs the ideal fit for you, with comfort in mind! Cute shoes in custom shades picked by you; Page Shoes can be crafted in flats, heels or boots.

Buds & Poppies provided beautiful floral arrangements, plants and succulents in interesting pots, they take orders for special occasions or deliver beautiful flowers on a regular basis.

Scout the Label joined the Design Collective on Friday night, bringing along casual woman’s wear with a touch of class. With a strong focus on fit and quality make, Scout the Label focuses on beautiful fabrics and simplified design.

The event provided a wonderful opportunity to mingle with guests, find the perfect fit or a special gift, and speak directly with the designers, who were able to offer personalised style advice. See you at the next Design Collective
